DESCRIPTION AND INSPIRATIONS

It’s the kind of leather we’ve always dreamed of... A bit of GP heritage, a touch of Western flair, and a whole lot of AMERICAN VINTAGE SPIRIT — that’s what brought the “Stars & Stripes” jacket to life. An exceptional piece, through and through.

THE STYLE : Vintage Racing. We drew directly from old-school GP motorbike jackets — those multicoloured leathers with oversized stitched logos have always fascinated us. Back in the day, these jackets featured bold colour panels that gave them an unmistakable look. True vintage gems that now sell like collector’s items, often covered in big embroidered or appliqué sponsor logos from the era : MARLBORO, LUCKY STRIKE, CASTROL... An aesthetic rich in symbolism, long gone but deeply nostalgic — and one we couldn’t resist revisiting in our own way.

THE COLOURS : If you know us, you know that vintage style and seventies colour palettes are right up our street. We were inspired by that classic Steve McQueen energy — and even more so, for the insiders, by the seriously stylish heroine Julie Wood. The real challenge? Fusing Vintage Racing vibes with bold 70s colours and the chromatic punch of that era. The result : a two-tone jacket in khaki and cream, with high-contrast appliqué logos to top it off.

THE CUT : Of course, we needed a feminine fit. And since those original GP jackets were built for men — wide, boxy, and far from flattering — we went looking elsewhere for inspiration. Straight into another Wildust favourite : the Wild West and those classic cowgirl jackets. The fitted shape, the stitched stars on the sleeves and back — those details are 100% Western-rooted. Just like we can’t resist star-shaped buckles or a good pair of boots, we had to give this jacket a neo-country twist that instantly took us on a ride.

TECHNICAL ZOOM

PPE, CE approval

Beneath its "lifestyle" exterior, this product is PPE! Yes, "Personal Protective Equipment," nothing less! Its features have been laboratory-tested to meet the requirements of European standards for motorcycle protection. Once the tests are validated, we are issued a certification certificate. Irrefutable proof that our equipment "protects" and is CE-approved.

THE PROTECTORS

There are different levels of "protection" within the CE standard. The Wildust range (Jackets and Trousers) guarantees AA certification. This level of protection protects against the risks of abrasion and tearing, but also protects against impacts inherent in a fall. Thus, all Wildust products are delivered with 4 impact protectors for the joints (hips + knees or shoulders + elbows). The jackets also have a compartment for adding back protection.

FROM EVERY SIDE!

What does CE approved actually mean? It means that the product has been tested against various criteria, put to the test in simulators that recreate the conditions of a fall, with speed, impact force, etc. These simulations allow us to calculate the resistance of the material and fabric used. Abrasion resistance is checked, as well as tear resistance. The strength of the seams is even tested! Each of these tests must achieve a result equal to or greater than the standard, in order to obtain laboratory validation.
