DESCRIPTION AND INSPIRATIONS

We packed in a ton of references for this incredible piece.
It’s basically the leather jacket we’ve always dreamed of — the one that makes you turn your head, the one you fall for instantly.
Even if you can’t quite put your finger on why, you just know : it speaks to you.

And if you share our retro obsessions and grew up on the same visual culture — here are a few clues to decode this crush of ours:

THE STYLE: Vintage Racing. Old-school GP leather jackets — that was the starting point. We’ve always been fascinated by those multicoloured race jackets with big stitched logos. Remember the bold colour blocks like the ones HONDA used to make? They had such a distinct look. The kind of vintage pieces that sell for crazy prices now, covered in bright appliqués or embroidered patches in high-contrast tones — often sporting the iconic logos of sponsors like MARLBORO, LUCKY STRIKE or CASTROL. It’s a whole era of symbolism that’s disappeared today — but we couldn’t resist bringing a little piece of it back.

THE COLOURS : No surprise here — vintage vibes and 70s tones are our playground. Think Steve McQueen style... or for the real ones, the ultra-cool heroine Julie Wood. That’s the world we were channeling. Merging Vintage Racing aesthetics with a 70s palette and that chromatic boldness of the era — that was the challenge.
The result? A two-tone jacket in orange and cream, or khaki and cream, with contrast appliqué logos. A colour trio we seriously obsessed over. Let’s just say: many passionate debates were had.

THE CUT : Of course, we had to design a proper feminine fit.
As much as we love vintage GP jackets, they were originally made for men — wide, boxy, and far from flattering on a female silhouette.
So we borrowed from another Wildust go-to universe… The Wild West (you already know!). Think cowgirl jackets with fitted cuts, stitched star details on the sleeves and back — clearly a western nod. Just like we can’t resist a pair of cowboy boots or a star-shaped belt buckle, we couldn’t help but give this jacket a subtle neo-country edge that instantly transported us.

So, what do you get when you mix a bit of GP, a hint of Western, and a whole lot of AMERICAN VINTAGE SPIRIT ? The “Stars & Stripes” jacket — bold, iconic, and like nothing else.

TECHNICAL ZOOM

PPE, CE approval

Beneath its "lifestyle" exterior, this product is PPE! Yes, "Personal Protective Equipment," nothing less! Its features have been laboratory-tested to meet the requirements of European standards for motorcycle protection. Once the tests are validated, we are issued a certification certificate. Irrefutable proof that our equipment "protects" and is CE-approved.

THE PROTECTORS

There are different levels of "protection" within the CE standard. The Wildust range (Jackets and Trousers) guarantees AA certification. This level of protection protects against the risks of abrasion and tearing, but also protects against impacts inherent in a fall. Thus, all Wildust products are delivered with 4 impact protectors for the joints (hips + knees or shoulders + elbows). The jackets also have a compartment for adding back protection.

FROM EVERY SIDE!

What does CE approved actually mean? It means that the product has been tested against various criteria, put to the test in simulators that recreate the conditions of a fall, with speed, impact force, etc. These simulations allow us to calculate the resistance of the material and fabric used. Abrasion resistance is checked, as well as tear resistance. The strength of the seams is even tested! Each of these tests must achieve a result equal to or greater than the standard, in order to obtain laboratory validation.
