DESCRIPTION AND INSPIRATIONS

The number one must-have in any rider’s gear — it was (way past) time we brought you our take on women’s motorcycle gloves! :-)
Not gonna lie — we did drag our feet a bit at the start. Because, well… certification, regulation, CE approval... it’s complex, it’s expensive, and it takes ages.

But in truth, these constraints are a good thing. They raise the bar and ensure a proper safety standard across the market — which is non-negotiable when it comes to protecting your hands on the road.

Only after passing dozens of tests — for abrasion, tearing, stitching strength, material safety, allergy risks and more — did we finally receive the golden ticket : CE certification according to EN 13594:2015, confirming Level 1 protection.

Needless to say, we were proud. Weeks of work — designing, testing, adjusting and re-testing — to reach a level that truly delivers. (No pun intended!)

But technical specs are only half the story. You know our motto: Ride safe, but make it stylish. We’ve never been into choosing between safety and design — so we put everything we had into creating a glove that’s feminine, functional, and unmistakably Wildust.

It was a proper challenge: balancing tough safety standards with our love for all things vintage and retro. Back to the 70s, baby!

So we went for a camel-coloured glove, in line with our favourite colour palette, and gave it a twist : three soft, curved leather stripes — a subtle nod to 1970s design, retro racing circuits, and that entire world of authentic style references we love so much.

We also added three key features to elevate this little vintage beauty:

  • Feature n°1: Touchscreen-compatible leather on thumbs and index fingers — so you can use your GPS, phone or smart watch without taking them off.

  • Feature n°2: A snap fastening system to keep the pair together. Bonus: you can hook them onto a carabiner, glove loop, belt or jeans — they stay secure, no hassle.

  • Feature n°3: A long velcro strap at the wrist, for a snug and adjustable fit.

TECHNICAL ZOOM

PPE, CE approval

Beneath its "lifestyle" exterior, this product is PPE! Yes, "Personal Protective Equipment," nothing less! Its features have been laboratory-tested to meet the requirements of European standards for motorcycle protection. Once the tests are validated, we are issued a certification certificate. Irrefutable proof that our equipment "protects" and is CE-approved.

THE PROTECTORS

There are different levels of "protection" within the CE standard. The Wildust range (Jackets and Trousers) guarantees AA certification. This level of protection protects against the risks of abrasion and tearing, but also protects against impacts inherent in a fall. Thus, all Wildust products are delivered with 4 impact protectors for the joints (hips + knees or shoulders + elbows). The jackets also have a compartment for adding back protection.

FROM EVERY SIDE!

What does CE approved actually mean? It means that the product has been tested against various criteria, put to the test in simulators that recreate the conditions of a fall, with speed, impact force, etc. These simulations allow us to calculate the resistance of the material and fabric used. Abrasion resistance is checked, as well as tear resistance. The strength of the seams is even tested! Each of these tests must achieve a result equal to or greater than the standard, in order to obtain laboratory validation.
