Behind one of our catchphrases, ‘Ride like a girl’, lies our basic mission: to offer stylish clothing that you can wear every day, whether you ride a motorbike or not at all! Our aim is quite simply to put an end to the stereotype of the “biker girl”, dressed up in technical clothes with pink butterflies to ride protected...
So we looked in our own wardrobe for the kind of clothes we'd like to wear to ride in style... Perfecto, little denim jacket, safari jacket, overshirt... If only they could also provide safety! 1,000 times we've agonised over whether a simple denim jacket or a perfecto wasn't irresponsible... If, for once, doing without the big 100kg hardshell leather was an option....
We realised that we absolutely had to create a half-season jacket, so that once the warm weather arrived, we could ride in complete safety, without being disguised, and without dying of heat... We quickly opted for an overshirt-style jacket with a safe style.
The jacket is made from ARMALITH, which means it's made from an ultra-resistant, abrasion-resistant, tear-resistant fabric that's more forgiving than Kevlar or leather.
What is ARMALITH?
It's the safety of leather + the comfort of stretch denim! Above all, it's an exceptionally PROTECTIVE material that's ultra-resistant to abrasion, tearing, cuts and UV rays.
ARMALITH® is designed by assembling a cotton fibre (denim) with the UHMWPE fibre, previously reserved for space, military and offshore applications.
This exclusive technology is authentic: denim incorporates a reinforcement at its heart, i.e. mixed with its fibres, giving it the mechanical qualities of leather. This makes it resistant to abrasion, snags and tears, and provides exceptional comfort in both summer and winter. ARMALITH 2.0 is the only material capable of protecting against abrasion (including in the sense of motorbike standard 13595-2) in a single layer of fabric, while providing the comfort and look of real jeans.
